I was taken shopping there in the early '60s by great-aunts and aunts and it was wonderful. Got really skanky later. I've forgotten when Swan's finally closed their doors, I recall a number of their vendors moved to the Emerybay Public Market.
I didn't walk in but they seemed to be selling nothing but games, now. It seemed like just one store. I'll have to give it another look when I get a chance.
It sat empty for a long while. For many years it was the shop for the housewife. There had been talk of bringing the building down at some point.
Is the Sears building still standing?
